This unprecedented course introduces the complex thought of Ibn ʿArabī and his school by giving direct access to its inner architecture: core structures of thought, terminological nuances, and its relation and overlap with other systems of philosophical thought.

Study Ibn Arabi and his school as a living metaphysical tradition

Students enjoy guided close reading of the key texts, weekly seminars, and one-to-one tutorials with Hasan Spiker, as well as final integrative essays.

Be the first to receive Spiker’s new translations of key works by Ibn Arabi and his school, which will be released weekly to form the course set texts. Receive initiation into the complex terminologies and conceptual frameworks of the school of Ibn Arabi in its marriage to Illuminationist and Avicennan thought.
